When we first started planning our wedding everyone kept telling us that the three things people are going to remember would be the atmosphere, the alcohol, and by all means the food.Both of us love to cook and love great food so it became our top priority to find someone who would prepare an unforgettable meal.There was no question in quality when we made the decision to turn to Frank and the crew from Lagos, however we were determined the guests would enjoy an authentic, local, late-summer Vermont meal based around a pig roast.Within the first ten minutes of sitting down with Frank we knew he would definitely be our caterer.Not only had he done plenty of pig roasts before, but he of course knew the supplier and exactly what needed to be done (the braising, equipment, we are still not quite sure everything that happened, but it was awesome!) for a delicious pig.He also created a mouth-watering menu incorporating everything we wanted to include and more, he made the perfect suggestions:venison tostadas, grilled vegetarian flatbreads, homemade mac n’ cheese, fresh corn salad, roasted potatoes, tomatoes with mozzarella and basil, a house-made blueberry maple vinaigrette, and to top it off he threw in some fresh made maple candies to go with our desserts!A menu perfectly unique to us.

The weeks of preparation and Frank’s personal staff delighted our guests and added a certain ambiance to our reception which made our day one of a kind and unforgettable.We had 130 guests from some 15 states and every single one of them left saying the food was the best they ever had.Thank you Frank and the rest of the crew at Lagos for everything! Lago’s continues to be our favorite restaurant.

What a great event! Our wedding day couldn’t have been any more perfect. The tasting you provided for us prior to the wedding whet our appetite to the scrumptious food that followed. Your ability to master a variety of cuisines with seamless execution was amazing. The presentation and overall attention to detail were spot on. We had a vision from the start and you made our vision a reality. From start to finish your staff was friendly, courteous and attentive. Dear Frank and Michelle,
I had a cup of tea this morning. And a piece of last night’s chocolate cake with that raspberry sauce of yours that we’d had at dinner. And then I opened the fridge and took out the mashed potatoes you’d made and had a spoonful of them. Two, actually. Delicious. Can you imagine it, Frank? The left-over potatoes. Cold. In the morning. After a piece of your chocolate cake covered in raspberry sauce. With a hot cup of tea. It sounds awful. But it was truly wonderful and I can only think that that particular morning menu must surely be a declaration of your extraordinary culinary skills.
